Nikon D40 Lenses
April 24, 2011 No CommentsWhat Nikon D40 lenses are available for my new camera?
Here is the scoop on Nikon D40 lenses that you can use with your new D40 camera. Just so you know, you can still use non- AF-S lenses; they just need to be manually focused rather than depending on the auto focus feature.
The D40 is a much lighter camera and there has been a lot of discussion as to putting a heavier lens on that light of a body. I say do not worry about it. The mounts are made to be used and if you like a lens and it gives you the features you need, by all means go for it.
The 18-55mm that comes with the D40, is a great lens. It will be all most people ever need. If you prefer a telephoto lens, try the 55-200mm VR it is matched to the D40 and should work well.
